We work closely with schools to help them participate in engaging and educating learners on blindness. Events can be scheduled year-around, find more details and contact us below.
Bobo-the-Bear Colour in Competition
Schools can host a fun education program and invite learners to create their own Bobo designs, with prizes for the best designs being distributed on Blind Buddy Awareness Day. Participating students donate 10 rand to participate in the competition.
Host a Fundraising Events
We invite secondary schools to host a fundraising event. Common events include a Civvies Day, a Sassy Shades Day, or a Bake Sale. Schools can also choose an existing Term 2 fundraising event and donate the proceeds to the campaign.
Host a Blind Buddy Education Program
Have a blindness expert come speak at an education program so that learners can gain information about blindness and build personal connections with blind people. We can participate in your existing assembly schedule.
Blind Buddy Day
On the last Friday of May, participating schools are invited to wear their stickers and sassy shades to support our work done in Early Childhood Development. Schools are encouraged to participate in the events above leading up to Blind Buddy Awareness Day.
